Council President
? Joanne Cinco presided.
M ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, and
CY) Mr. Stephens
z Absent: Mr. Flynn
G Also Present Were: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello,
Mr. Hanculak (for Mr. Diemert), Mr. Hovancsek, Lt. Jay,
Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac, and Miss Heath
Mrs. Cinco said this meeting was called to consider legislation for the sanitary trunk
line. She asked Mr. Hovancsek to explain the project.
Mr. Hovancsek said the resolution is pertaining to the County's desire to construct a
sanitary trunk line along the north corridor of the Village which would go on the south
side of White Road to S.O.M. Center and then south on S.O.M. Center to a point several
hundred feet south of Metro Park Drive. This trunk sewer will then pick up the Mount
Vernon and Aintree North pump stations and take all the sewage to the north and then
westerly into the City of Highland Heights and Richmond Heights into the Hilltop
Interceptor Contract H-3, sanitary tunnel on Richmond Road. This project was started
over a year ago and the County would like to have it proceed so that it will be
completed and operational by the time the tunnel job is completed on Richmond Road.
At this time he recommends the Village adopt the legislation.
Mayor Rinker asked when the tunnel job will be completed.
Mr. Hovancsek said he believes it will be completed in two years--by the summer of
1996.
Mr. Hanculak read the title of Resolution 94-16 as follows:
Resolution No. 94-16, "A resolution approving an agreement with the County of
Cuyahoga for a north county line sanitary trunk sewer improvement No. 3-A-5-A."
Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 94-16.
