L56
1Jr1&
Special Council Meeting
5/23/94
Page Six
Mrs. Cinco said it is up to Council if Gus may go ahead for the purchase of these two
vehicles.
Mr. Amendola needs to check if the prices (to expire 5/1/94 are still good) and
coordinate with Phil Brett for Caucus.
• Insurance Bids
Mr. Brett reported that the insurance bids came in. (For Professional Liability, General,
Auto, Property, Errors and Omissions, Malpractice--not hospitalization.) The bids were
about $16,000 less than what we paid last year. Mr. Brett explained the Village's
options to increase coverage. He will circulate the information to Council.
• Upper 40
A brief discussion was held.
Mr. Cappello reported that he received a formal proposal from EDP in the amount of
$4,822 to perform four soil borings. He and Steve Hovancsek recommend that Council
approve this tonight. Mr. Cappello said he spoke to Mr. Peirce. Mr. Peirce said there is
no way they will let them in unless they do the Wetland Study.
Mr. Cappello said he might need to talk to Mr. Diemert about what we can do to get
EDP in there this week.
Mr. Stephens asked if this is the same company that was holding the Village up on the
Wetland Study.
Mr. Cappello said yes.
Mayor Rinker explained that it is his understanding that EDP thought time was more
liberal for that project.
Mr. Stephens asked if we have their attention now.
Mr. Cappello said yes. This is a good week for them to do the work. Mayor Rinker said we are accomplishing a number of tasks.
