MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL Mayfield Village December 5,1994 The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, December 5,1994, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Joanne Cinco presided. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler and Mr. Flynn, - Absent: Mr. Flynn, Mr. Amendola, Chief Stevens Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac, and Miss Heath J Council President Cinco said she has passed on some information to Council regarding the purpose of tonight's meeting which is to approve some monies that will be reimbursed to us for soil borings. She asked Tom Cappello to explain the urgency of this matter. Mr. Cappello said the soil borings are part of the North County Trunk Sewer project. He received four bids on Friday. The lowest bid was in the amount of $17,885. The cost will be split between Mayfield Village and Highland Heights. He said the Village will be reimbursed for this fee by Cuyahoga County. Council needs to give their approval so they can give the go ahead to PSI to get this project going. Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to authorize an expenditure for soil borings in an amount not to exceed $10,000. [Since the total cost will be split between Mayfield Village and Highland Heights, the invoice will be greater" than $10,000.] ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Mr. Brett said he had a question as to the specifics of the copier (authorized for purchase by the Service Department at the November 21 meeting.) He would like the minutes to reflect what will be invoiced: Gross cost: $3,995; less trade-in: $1,500; net cost: $2,495. Mrs. Cinco said Council has approved that expenditure.
