Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/93 <br />Page Nine <br />Police Blazer - Chief Stevens said he recommencls replacing the wagon; he has looked at <br />a variety of options--this is the most attractive. <br />Mayor Rinker asked if he is satisfied this is the best arrangement. <br />Chief Stevens said he is. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to amend the agenda to include <br />consideration of the legislation for purchase of a police Blazer through the State <br />Cooperative Purchasing Program. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />Mr. Diemert read the title of the legislation (which will be Ordinance No. 93-11) as <br />follows: "An emergency ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to purchase a <br />1993 Chevrolet Blazer from jack Maxton Chevrolet, Inc. under the State's Cooperative <br />Purchasing Program." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, macie a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, <br />and Mr. Flynn <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 93-11. <br />Chief Stevens said the station wagon carries necessary equipment. He looked at <br />wagons and vans and they were all at least $22,000. This will be a limited use vehicle <br />and for that money he does not think it could hurt to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle on <br />hand. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted
