The side yards in
residential districts is being amended to change the least dimension of the side yard to
be not less than 10'. Prior to this time it had been 5'. At least 35% of the average width
of the lot should be the side yard (that is unbuilt space.) It was, prior to this time 30%.
It allows the dimension to be less deep and more wide for purposes of architectural
design and to change the frontage appearance of the homes to allow homes to expand a
little wider rather than deeper and perform in the Architectural Review Board's
opinion, the Ordinance Review Committee and the majority of Planning Commission,
to allow a more aesthetic appearance from the roadway and more developer flexibility
in designing of subdivisions.
Mrs. Cinco asked if there were any questions from the audience.
There being no comments, Mrs. Cinco said the Public Hearing is over.
Council went into their.
