MIlVUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL Mayfield Village September 24, 1996 The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Tuesday, September 24, 1996, at 7:37 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Maxk Fwer presided. ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, N1r, Fixler, Mr. Marquardt and Dr. Parker (7:40 p.m.) Absent: None Also Present: Mayor Rinker, N[r. Brett, Mr. Diemert and Miss Heath Council President Fixler requested a motion for Councii to go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing land acquisition. Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to recess into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing land acquisition. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motian Carried Council went into Executive Session at 7:38 p.m. Council reconvened at 8:31 p.m. Council President Fixler said Council has deliberated on this in the back for quite some time. Because the settlement took a long time for us to get to in the first place and we were just notified about this on Thursday and Council was notified over the weekend-he does not feel they have enough infvrmation. Council President Fixler said he would like you (addressing Ms. Camnio & Mr. LaConte) to have further discussion with our Law Director as to the potential ramifications. Council would iike to understand the situation a little bit clearer. Once that is done, Council President Fixler said he would be more than happy to call another special meeting. Mr. LaConte said he thinks all they are saying is in case something happens, send the funds somewhere. Council President Fixler said we don't know tha.t for a fact. We were just notified of this over the weekend and it hasn't allowed us an opportunity to have enough discussion. 1VIs. Camino asked if they wanted this discussion outside this evening. ?
