Special Council Meeting <br />11-4-6 <br />Page 6 <br />Cuyahoga County legislation re White Road project <br />Mr. Cappello said he and Mr. Hovancsek met last week with the City Engineer and Road <br />Superintendent of Willoughby Hills. They are all in agreement that they should at least Phase I <br />resurfacing done this year after the sewer work is done. <br />Council President Fixler asked the cost of the project. <br />Mr. Cappello said the total cost for the entire project including engineering and inspection is <br />about $83,000. This phase will be about 42% of that or around $35,314.00 shared between <br />Mayfield Village and the City of Willoughby Hills. Mayfield Village's portion [for just this <br />interim resurfacing portion] will be $15,185.00. That does include engineering. The portion <br />which is eligible for 50% from the Village would be $20,300--that is the total cost [for the entire <br />project] the ViIlage would have to expend including engineenng and inspection after the <br />discount with participation from the County. <br />Council PresidentFixler clari?ied the total cost is $20,000 and of that $20,000 we must pay <br />$15,000 now. <br />NIr. Cappello said that is correct. <br />Ordinance No. 96-33, "An emergency ordinance enacted by the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, hereinafter referred to as the MUNICIPALITY, in the matter of the hereinafter <br />described improvement and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga by its Board of <br />County Commissioners, hereinafter refened to as the COUNTY." (re White Rd. Resurfacing <br />from I-271 to S.O.M.) Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />1VIr. Fenante, secondedbylVIrs.
