Regular Council Meeting <br />12-16-96 <br />Page 2 <br />different committees--such as the Activities Committee, Citizen's Advisory and Recreation to <br />let him know. <br />Architectural Review Board - There was no report. <br />Board of Appeais - Councii President Fixier said Councii wiii consider the variance request [for <br />Sunrise Development] shortly. [It is later on the agenda.] <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mrs. Cinco said they discussed the strategies of the Committee at <br />their November 25`hmeeting and are waiting for discussion with Mayor Rinker. There will be <br />no meeting in December. Tliey are interested 'in garnering more res'idents to serve on the <br />Committee. <br />Commission on Agin - Mr. Busa read the report from the Human Services Director. (A copy is <br />attached to the minutes as a permanent record.) <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met December 2. They approved and <br />recommended the purchase of turnout gear (10) which is on tonight's agenda. They also took a <br />hands-on tour of tiie faciiity as it exists today and are waiting to get more details from <br />Department Heads. <br />Mayor Rinker said he has one report; he is waiting for another one. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the committee met this evening. They discussed the <br />following items -and recommend them for approval unless otherwise noted: <br />1) Turnout Gear for Fire Dept. <br />2) Drane Company - for code update <br />3) C.R.I.S. <br />4) V.O.V. <br />5) JTO and High Point Tree Services (leaf removal) <br />6) Authorization to purchase 3 police cars - They recommend taking bid plans not to exceed <br />$55,000.00. <br />7) Resolutions 96-26 & 27 providing for depository agreements <br />8) Resolution 96-29 requesting a tax advance from the County Treasurer <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Dr. Parker said the Saturday work crew is still off and will resume working <br />in 7anuary of 1997. The annual Turkey Raffle was held November 23 and a holiday party on <br />December 11. Both were well attended.
