MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCII, <br />Mayfield Village <br />March 1 s, 1999 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, March lst, 1999, at 8:00 <br />p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room Council President Bill <br />Marquardt presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fixler, <br />Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: None <br />ALso Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, <br />Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Chief Stevens and <br />Mrs. Roman <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 99-05, entitled; "An emergency ordinance creating the <br />Department of Parks and Recreation and the position of Director of Parks and Recreation and <br />amending Chapter 143 of the Codified Ordinances." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council <br />as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />- ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 99-05. <br />Mayor Rinker explained to the audience that this information was referred to in the Recreation <br />Booklet in this issue of the Voice of the Village. Mayfield Village is creating a new department <br />which we feel is going to be very exciting. This is a new beginning for Recreation in Mayfeld <br />Village. Everyone will see a lot of change in our recreational programs--all for the better. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 99-06, entitled; " An emergency ordinance to confirm the <br />appointment of William Thomas as Director of Parks and Recreation." Introduced by Mayor <br />Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
