NIIN[JTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />May 24, 1999 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, May 24, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. <br />in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill Marquardt <br />presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fixler, <br />Mr. Marquardt, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker <br />Absent: Mr. Busa <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Diemert, Diane Calta, <br />Mr. Metzung, Mr. Samac, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Stone <br />Council Presiiient Marquardt asked to go into executive session to discuss litigation. <br />Mrs. Mills seconded by Mrs. Cinco made a motion to go into executive session. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried The meeting reconvened at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Marquardt asked how to handie consideration of a Change Order for Parkview Pool: <br />Mr. Brett said a motion would be sufficient. It will come back to Council for fmal price. He <br />wants Council aware of it. The change order to raise the height of diving we117 inches at <br />Parkview Pool is not to exceed $10,000 (with contingency upon approval by state). <br />Mr. Marquardt asked if we can do that. <br />Mr. Brett said yes. He and Doug have talked to Mike Truax of Astro Pool. The truth is Mr. Brett <br />doesn't know if they inspect it until after it comes in. Mike's intention is to put the additional7 <br />inches on, _not do anything real final and then ha.ve the state come out and measure. <br />Dr. Parker would like to ha.ve the state come first. He asked if there was a way to check with the <br />state department. <br />Mr. Brett said they are not going to inspect it until it's done. They have a bit of a catch 22 there. <br />Once you put the 7 inches in, the $10,000 is spent. They will approve as you mock it up. <br />
