We started this <br />program a number of years ago where we will match funds with groups. The idea is to <br />provide incentives to beautify neighborhoods. He commended the association for <br />coming forward. He asked everyone to pass the word around. <br />Mrs. Cinco suggested putting the information and regulations about the landscaping <br />reimbursement program in the Voice of the Village (to increase awareness.) <br />Mayor Rinker said that although the guidelines specify common areas, like <br />entranceways, we will consider any plan that has merit if we can perceive a benefit to <br />the community. <br />Take Brake Svstem for 1989 Pierce Pumper <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to authorize the expenditure for <br />installation of a Jake Brake System in the 1989 Pierce Pumper. (Chief Mohr had <br />obtained an estimate for installation of the device by a local distributor in the amount <br />of $4,404.44.) <br />Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee recommended moving ahead with this item if <br />Council is of such a mind. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 95-81, entitled; "An ordinance appropriating funds for <br />current expenses & expenditures of Mayfield Village, Ohio for the period from January <br />1, 1996 and ending March 31, 1996 and declaring an emergency."
