Regular Council Meeting <br />January 19,1998 <br />Page 10 <br />First Reading of ardinance No. 98m 02, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing a <br />lease agreement with Whiting Turner Contractiilg Company for the Parkview Golf Course <br />Qub House located at 320 SONf Center Road." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council <br />as a Whole. <br />IVir. Marquardt, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to suspend the rules requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on thxee separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rutes Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance Na. 98-02. <br />Mr. Busa asked why we are anly charging $850-since we are paying for power, gas, etc. it <br />only amounts to about $400 rent for a double house. <br />Mr. Breft said we were going to tear down the house in any event. We will be mowing the <br />first 250' of the golf course anyway. They thought $1,000 was too high. <br />Mr. I?iemert said we had tallced about the contractor parking their trailers on the property. <br />We felt the trailers would be unsightly; renting -the house would give us extra money. <br />Council President Fixler said if the house was torn doJwn, the Village would receive <br />nofhing and we would have construction trailers on the site. He believes this vwould be <br />better than looking at fihe #railers. <br />Chief Mohr asked if they will have to follow the fire code f regarding items such as exit <br />lights, etcJ He is concerned about the liability of the community if we own the house. <br />Mr. Samac said they will not be in total compliance lbecause it is a temporary use. <br />Mr. Diemert said he has addressed those issues in the lease. <br />Roll Call: AYES: ,All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Keading of Ordinance No. 98-03, entitled, "An emergency ordinance authorizing <br />agplications for Community Developanent Block Grant Funds."
