Regular Council Meeting <br />3-16-98 Page 2 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />CQIVIME-NI'S FROM, MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker had no comxnents. <br />Council President Fixler had no comments. <br />STANDING CONIMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee -1VIrs. Roman said we will be working with the Make-a-Wish Foundation <br />to help raise monies for their oxganization on `SOs Night. She invited everyone to the next <br />meeting (the first week in April.) Volunteers are needed for the Mother's Day Pancake <br />Breakfast. People may sign up now. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met March 10. A swimming pool and 3 <br />additions were approved. <br />Board of AppeaIs - Mr. Samac said they had no meeting. Their next meeting will be on March <br />24. <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Parker said he received a nice letter from Mrs. Buzek of the Garden Club <br />nutlining their activities. They received the Exxon grant. A meeting will be'held shortly. <br />Citizen's Advisorp Board - Mrs. Cinco said they ha.ve not met since the last Council meeting. <br />[Note: The _next meeting will be held March 30 at 8 p.m. in the Community Room.] <br />Commission on Aszing - Mr. Busa read the report from N1rs. Kalina. (attached to the minutes.) <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met March 2. Everyone received the <br />minutes. They discussed several issues. They discussed the cost of updating the jarl and a new <br />alarm panel. They are waiting for details on the jail. They need to address two issues for the <br />Fire Dept. neat month: two in, two out and the 1999 ambulance. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Marquardt said the Committee met this evening. They discussed and <br />recommend approval of all items on the agenda. (An agenda is attached to theminutes for <br />reference.) <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Dr. Parker said there was no report.
