Regular Council Meeting <br />12-13-99 <br />Page 10 <br />Finance Committee - Dr. Parker said there is only one change to the agenda. Item #6 would be <br />to authorize $44,500. If there is no objections, he would like to move that items 1-12 were <br />approved by the Finance Committee and move along. (The agenda is attached to the minutes.) <br />Hillcrest Council ofCouncils -Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv -Mrs. Mills said~Mr. Plastine reports the following: work is continuing on the <br />one-room school house. We now have a potbellied stove for this classroom. Our annual Turkey <br />Raffle on November 20 was a great success. A survey will begin on the replacement of the 40 <br />ceiling light fixtures on the second floor of the Historical House. Our Potluck Supper held on <br />December 8 was attended by many. No one left hungry. <br />M.A.R.C -Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met last Thursday. Because of the timing of the meeting, <br />she doesn't have the minutes. We had a nice discussion with Barb Gyulai about co-sponsorong <br />programs with the School District. It works well how South Euclid Lyndhurst handles theirs and <br />we are attempting to do much the same kind of programming. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said we met November 22 to review the proposed <br />sign ordinance amendment and we decided to keep it as is. The main thrust of the language is, <br />"Any illuminated signs within areas of the building that are visible from the public right-of--way <br />shall be removed by December 1St, 2000." Mr. Samac will try to enforce that and make the <br />rounds when necessary to let these people know this is in place. The committee also discussed a <br />proposed amendment to Section 1321.03 of our Building Code which states that continuous <br />footers with a masonry foundation be in place for all future sunrooms, patio enclosures and <br />three-season rooms. This is to ensure the safety of the residents. <br />Planning and Zoning -Mrs. Mills said the Commission met December 6 and acted on the <br />following items: Assisted Living Facility at the Midvale Site -Preliminary site plan approval <br />contingent upon the Corps of Engineers approval of the Wetlands. Mr. Hovancsek has received <br />a copy of the preconstruction notification data from Nationwide Permit 26. We also recommend <br />to Council approval be given for the vacation and consolidation plat contingent upon all items <br />listed in the Village Engineer's later letter dated December 6. We also recommend to Council <br />that concept approval be given to the design [for S.O.M. Center Road} as designated on Boards <br />2S and 3N with the suggestions grass medians be in the appropriate and safe places. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said due to the holidays, and the Santa ride and parry will be <br />held this Saturday, the next Recreation Board meeting will be January 19 at 7:30 p.m. At the <br />January 19 meeting, we will continue to discuss Parkview development and shade structures for <br />the pool. Also, the teen advisory board at Mayfield High School will reconvene to put a student <br />survey together of activities that can be planned and interfaced with other activities that are <br />ongoing in other communities. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said we have had to cancel the meeting for this <br />month. I will try to reconvene one as soon as possible after the first of year. <br />
