Mr. Feneli said at the request of Mrs. Bloom he has reviewed the new collective
bargaining bill, S.B. 133, and other information he received pertinent to the
same. He asked if anyone would be interested in a summary covering how it
affects us.
Mr. Busa said an opinion from the Law Director is especially needed to explain
the portions of the bill that, if passed, would be in effect this year.
Council agreed they would appreciate a summary, and Mr. Feneli will prepare
for the packet.
Mr. Feneli said, regarding the Cortright case, Mr. Schulz's attorney presented
a settlement proposal. He has discussed this with Tir. Avery and the other
attorneys. After a meeting is held with_the six attorneys, probably by the
next meeting, Council should be ready for an Executive Session to discuss the
proposal. Mr. Avery would have to be present also.
Mr. Feneli reported at the request of Mr. Busa, a hearing was held last week
at the Board of Elections concerning the Charter amendments. The determination
was that they have no authority in making a ruling on the subject and it would
have to be a court issue.
Mr. Spellman, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Chief Hejcl said the Executive Session he requested could be held at another
time.
There being no objections, the meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
MAYOR, ROBERT G.
