°74. Fireworks Suggestion - A new State law has been passed which should be reviewed before a decision is made. Discussion was held. Mr. Feneli to review the document. Council agreed to accePt the bid received by Mr. DeSantis pending approval by the Law Director following his.review of the new law. Mrs. Hanus, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion approving the expenditure of $1,000.00 to Mr. DeSantis for a f ireworks display to be held on the Sunday of Village Days, August 7, 1983. Roll Call: AYES: Al1 NAYS: None CLOSING COMMENTS Motion Carried Expenditure Approved Discussion was held regarding the letter from Steve Hovancsek about various street repairs, crack f illing, etc., to be done this year and plans for next year. Mr. Toth asked Mr. Hovancsek to submit to him a tentative budget for 1984 by the first week of June. Mrs. Bloom suggested an ordinance be drafted stating that parents are not permitted to serve liquor to minors and that a fine would be imposed to those who violate this rule. Other communities have adopted similar legislation. Mr. Feneli wi11 review the legislation from the other communities. Mr. Carmen expressed thanks to the Mayor, Law Director, and Police Chief for all their hard work in the recent week. Mrs. Hanus commented the Fire Department, Firef ighters Posatiere and Panzero for their excellent assistance in transporting her husband, Frank, to the hospital. Mr. Feneli said the date of the Assessment Equalization Board Hearing must be f illed in on the Resolutions 83-12 and 83-13 which appoint the Board. The date of the hearing will be June 2nd, Beechers Brook residents at 7:00 p.m. and Beech Hi11 at 8:30 p.m. Mr. Toth requested that the Department Heads be permitted to give their reports at the beginning of the Council Meeting instead of during Closing Comments. There were no objections from Council. Mr. Busa agreed the Department Head comments will follow Council President's comments on the agendas in the future.
