The Regiona,l Building Code adopted under Chapter 1325 sha11 apply to <br />signs in Local Business Districts as follows: <br />subsections (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (fl and (g). <br />(c) The maximum gross axea of a.ll perma.nent sigris permitted for each separate <br />use occupying a building or unit of a building, shall be related to the width <br />of the building or unit thereof, adjusted, however, so that tihe smaller esta.b- <br />lishments may be permitted reasonable sig7i areas and so that the larger <br />establishments may not ha.ve excessive sign areas, as determined by the <br />formula; <br />The maximum gross area of signs in Local Business Districts is <br />(W X 1. 2) + 30 the elements of the formula being defined as follows: <br />"Maximum gross area" means the total area of all permanent signs <br />as defined in Section 11730 09(c), <br />W, means the "frontage of a building" which shall be the width of the <br />facade of the building, store or service unit which faces the principal street, <br />or the facade containing the main entrance of a building, store or service <br />unit; for corner buildings forty percent of the building depth Facing the side <br />street may be included in the frontage width factor. <br />Example: Assume a thirty foot wide store facing one, street in a Local <br />Business District: Ma.ximum gross area of signs equals 30 <br />X 1. 2+ 30 = 66 square feet. <br />(Ord. 960. Passed 7-18-66.) 1165.09 APPLICABILITY OF AND CONFLICT WITH OTHER 5ECTIONS OI' THE <br />CODE. <br />(a) The folloNving existuig sections of this Zoning Code shall apply specifically <br />to the Local Business District. <br />(1) Section 1145.01 Definitions. <br />(2) Section 1149, 01 Enforcement. <br />(3) Section 1149.03 Filing Fees. <br />(4) Section 1149.04 Interpretation. <br />(5). Section 1149, 05 Completion and Restoration of Existing Buildings. <br />(G) Section 1149.06 Nonconforaning Uses. <br />(7) Section 11490 99 Penalty. <br />(8) Section 1153.01 District and Zone Map. <br />(b) Wherever there is a conflict between any provision of this cha,pi;er and any <br />other part of the Zoning Code, in its present form, the former sha.ll appl,y insofar as <br />(:he Loca.l Business District is concernede (Ord, 960.
