143 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield ' <br />October 10, 1983 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met on Monday, October 10, 1983, <br />at 7:10 p.m. in the Village Hall. President Pro Tem, Lawrence J. Flynn, <br />presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellman, and Mrs. <br />Hanus • <br />Absent : Mrs. Bloom, Mr. Busa, and Mayor Beebe <br />Also Present Was . Dale Feneli <br />Mr. Flynn stated this Special Meeting was called to consider the proposed <br />ordinance for the Industrial Revenue Bonds for the Conergics Corporation <br />project. He asked if there was any other business to come before Council. <br />Mr. Carmen said there has been a considerable amount of leaf fall in the <br />Village in the past few days. He has discussed the need for a leaf vacuum <br />with Mr. Amendola who feels it would be a worthwhile and necessary purchase. <br />The vacuum would also help to keep the swales clean. Mr. Amendola estimates <br />the cost would be between $6,000.00.and $7,000.00. Mr. Carmen said he also <br />discussed this with Mr. Toth who advised him that monies would be available <br />for this purchase. <br />Mr. Carmen said Mr. Amendola received the best.price quote from the.Earl Ives <br />Equipment Company for an American Fox Leaf Machine. Estimated delivery time <br />would be two weeks after the order is placed. He explairied that because of <br />the time factor this could not be a bid item and would qualify as an emergency <br />expenditure. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mr. Etzler, made a motion to authorize the Mayor and <br />Director of Finance to place the order for the purchase of a leaf machine, <br />not.to exceed an amount bf $7,000.00. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Purchase Authorized <br />n <br />u
