Instead, complaints
are now being handled through a new phone number.at Viacpm. He would have
preferred Mr. Wilson to have attended this meeting to give Council and the
residents an opportunity to express their opinions and complaints directly.
However, he does not feel it is necessary to delay this legislation.
Mr. Amendola said he has dealt with Mr. Lanara from Viacom. Viacom was given
a list of the last 50 homes needing corrections about three weeks ago. At
that time they were told those homes'must be taken care of before they continue
with the second phase of their work. - the underground tie-ins. He said he sent
a letter to Viacom specifically advising' them of the repairs to be made at Mr.
Busa's and Mrs. Bloom's homes.. Mr. Amendola said Ordinance 82-63 would provide
for better installations in the future, especially on the new homes being built.
Mrs. Bloom asked if Viacom was given a copy of this ordinance.
Mayor Beebe directed Mrs. Maynard to forward them a copy.
Mrs. Hanus felt no further installations should be permitted until the
outstanding repairs are completed.
