" <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said .there-was.no::r.eport. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met with Mr. Caplan on <br />Marth 6 and no decision has been made. The Jefferson Park proposal will <br />be taken up at the next meeting. <br />Recreation - Mrs. Bloom said Softball P:egistration_will be March 20 and <br />Lunch with the Easter Bunny will be March 30. <br /> <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Basile said discussion was held on paving equipment <br />and a hot water boiler. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />New Chassis:for Pumper 613 (advertise for bids)- Mr. Etzler said Council <br />has been investigating this proj ect since the middle of last year and has <br />determined the.most economical way to go is to purchase a new cab and <br />chassis and have it remounted on the pumper. Authorization to adyertise <br />for bids is needed, <br />Mrs. Bloom,,seconded by Mr: Basile, made a motion to authorize the Clerk <br />of Council to advertise for bids for a new cab and.chassis for the fire,pumper, <br />and the remounting of them. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />. NAYS: . None <br />Motion Carried <br />Authorization Given <br />Diversified Back Taxes - Mr. Feneli said last Friday he received notice that <br />we have been granted the summary judgement. It is for the full amount plus <br />interest and court costs. Th.e next stop is to collect on it. He described <br />several options for collection, and procedures. <br />Road Resurfacing and Repair - Mayor Carmen stated $78,000 has been appropiated for <br />roads. One of Council's goals is to get all roads into better shape so that <br />all streets in the Village wil.l be rated average or better. There is $30.,000 <br />in the General Maintenance Fund to maintain other roads, which is separate from <br />the money set aside for repai,rs. He hopes <br />repairs can be made this year on Thornapple and Oakton Circle; and Worton <br />Park and Seneca next year, and the asphalt portion of Thornapple which were <br />also rated as the poorest asphalt streets in the Village. At that point, <br />there will be no streets listed in'the "poor" category. <br />County's Assessment--Beech Hill - Mr. Etzler explained the County has refused <br />to pay their assessment for the Beech Hill Road improvement and the Village <br />is following up on the matter. <br />
