ei e'r <br />Mr. Etzler said Council will recess for a brief Executive Session and asked <br />if there were any Closing Comments at this time. <br />Closing Comments <br />Mr. Amendola said the Fire and Service Jepartmeat employees are cooperating <br />with the refurbishing of..th:e ::Eire Depar.tment.,. and it is:.going on. schedule. <br />Both projects should be completed as planned. <br />Mayor Carmen said Safety Day is Saturday, April 20. Mayfield Village is <br />participating, along with three other communities. He said he has proclaimed <br />April 20 as Safety Day and a proclamation has been prepared. <br />Council went into Executive Session at this time. (9.05 p.m.) <br />Council reconvened at 10:30 p.m. Mr. Goley left during the Executive Session. <br />Police Car Bids - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Etzler, made a motion to reject <br />the police car bids that were received on January 25, 1985. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Bids Rejected <br />Fire Department Refurbishing Expenditure - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, <br />made a motion to authorize the Mayor to spend up to $20,000 for reburbishing <br />of the Fire Department. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Community Room Expen•diture.- Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion <br />to authorize the Mayor to spend up to $29,000 for work.being done to complete <br />the Community Romm. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorize <br />Recreation - Ball Diamond Repair - Council agreed to the repair of the ball- <br />diamonds, the approximate cost being $1,227. <br />Police Liability Insurance - <br />Resolution 85-18, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR <br />OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO A CONTACT WITH THE SHERMAN-BARON INC. FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF POLICE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE, DECLARING THE SAME TO BE <br />A TRUE EMERGENCY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and <br />Council. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Bloom, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions.
