8/26/85 <br />Page 3 <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by,Mr. Flynn, made a motion to waive any objection to <br />the above-referenced transfer of,the liquor permit at Fisher's Tavern. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Transfer Approved <br />Mayor Car'men said he has had problems motivating the.Civil Service Commission <br />to hold meetings and schedule testing for the Police and Fire Department <br />openings. He feels it is time to get someone on the Commission who will <br />motivate things. Pursuant to Article 5, Section 6a of the Charter, he <br />requested a motion from Council to:approve his removal of Mr. Paul Meden <br />from the Civil Service Commission. <br />Roll Call: 'AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn <br />NAYS: Mr. Goley <br />ABSTAIN: Mrs. Mills Motion Carried <br />Removal Confirmed <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT ETZLER <br />si <br />Mr. Etzler asked Mr. Hovancsek the status of getting a traffic count for Beta <br />and SOM. Mr. Hovancsek said he contacted the County Engineer's Office requesting <br />the count and he was notified that their schedule was complete for the balance <br />of the season. They will not be able to do the count until early next summer. <br />Mr. Etzler said they.have received the original judgment for the Weisberg Lawsuit <br />(zoning issue f.or the property north of Highland to 14hite Road) and in essence <br />the Village has won the lawsuit. <br />DEPARTA'IENT HEAD REPORTS <br />There were no reports. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said they met August 22 and accepted <br />four sets of drawings (2 new family, and two additions.) <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a meeting: <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler reported on the upcoming events: Flu Shot <br />Program on October 9, Surplus Food Distribution on September 13, a bus trip <br />on September 11, and a brunch on Octob'er 7. <br />There were no reports for Finance, Hillcrest Council of Councils, M.A.R.C „ <br />Planning and Zoning, Recreation, and Safety and Service.
