?? Regular Council Meeting 3/21/88 Page 5 Mr. Hovancsek said that he met with the County Engineer, the County Sanitary Engineer, and the Sewer District about a week ago regarding this topic. He said that his recommendation and that of the County Engineer and County Sanitary Engineer is that if and when the sanitary force main does go in, that it should go on the south side of the right-of-way, adjacent to but not in the right-of-way. He explained the easement procedure and said that there would be enough time to acquire them. He said that the new system would be more secure than the present system. H.B. 298 - Resolution - Mr. Basile explained that this House Bill proposes to c ange t e present bidding procedure of being able to select the lowest and best bidder. Council requested that Mr. Feneli prepare legislation to oppose the bill. Village Plaza Occupancy - Mr. Basile said that he noticed there is one unit w o wi e easing at the Village Plaza that will require nine parking spaces. Joint Self Insurance Pool- Mayor Carmen said that Mro John Blockinger of o nson & Higgins would be available to meet with Council to answer an questions they might have regarding the Ohio Municipal League Joint Self Insurance Pool. Mayor Carmen explained that the last couple of times that he and Council have looked into this issue, they have determined that it is still early and decided to watch how the pool works for the other communities before getting involved. Bob Beebe Letter re: Bronze Plaque - Mayor Carmen read the letter he received rom ormer Mayor Bob Beebe. In the letter, Bob Beebe asked when the bronze plaque for Beebe Park would be put up. Mayor Carmen said that we did not want to put the plaque on an empty lot. He said upon completion of the gazebo plantings will be made and benches put in. At that time it will make sense to put the plaque up. , Bond Counsel for Water Main Construction Notes ($4,206v45) - Mr. Flynn, secon e y r.
