118 <br />Regular Meeting of Council <br />9/26/88 <br />Page 12 <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 88-35, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCE SECTION 1165.05 PERTAINING TO THE MINIMUM YARD DIMENSIONS <br />IN THE LOCAL BUSINESS DISTRICTS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT <br />HEREWITH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr, Basile stated that this Ordinance will be referred to Planning and Zoning. <br />Mayor Carmen said the ordinance must go on three readings with a Public <br />Hearing inbetween the second and the third. <br />First Reading of Resolution No, 88-40, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AWARDING A <br />CONTRACT TO MORTON THIOKOL, INC. FOR THE SALE T0 THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROAD.SALT <br />ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen <br />and Council as a Whole, <br />Mr. Flynn,' seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. <br />88-40. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 88-41, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AWARDING A <br />CONTRACT TO THE INTERNATIONAL SALT COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF <br />ROAD SALT ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE STRIPING OF <br />CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT <br />OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED $4,792.90 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY."
