25 <br />First Reading of Resolution 86-9, entitled; "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TERMS, <br />CONDITIONS AND COMPENSATION FO& THE SERVICES OF THE DIRECTOR OF LAW, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mro Basile, seconded by Mr. Goley, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution 86-9. <br />Roll Ca11: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />ANY OTHER M2;TTER THAT MAY COME BEFORE COUNCIL <br />There were no comments. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mr. Amendola asked if a.decision had been made abbut the sale of the fire <br />truck and tlie bid.received. <br />Mr. Etzler said there has not been a decision made on the fire truck yet. It <br />will be discussed at the next Caucus. <br />Mr. Goley asked if the date has been set to discuss the exchange of services <br />with Gates Mi11s. <br />Mayor Carmen said that the meeting had been set but was canceled and he is <br />in the process of arranging another meeting. <br />Mr. Basile.asked Mr. Amendola what is being done about the houses that need <br />painted on S.O.M. <br />Mr. Amendola said they are checking with the.Department of Community Development <br />about the possibility of those persons receiving financing from the County to <br />take care of their homes. <br />Mr. Etzler asked Council if they were available Monday, February 24 if he <br />were able to arrange a meeting regarding the implementation of E-9-1-1. <br />Council had no objections to that date. <br />Mr. Etzler said he will let Council know when the date is confirmed. He <br />suggested that Gouncil also discuss the sign ordinance that eveni:ng.
