100 <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules of <br />Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Mr. Goley asked if there was some necessity for this ordinance to be passed <br />tonight. <br />Mr. Etzler said he thinks that the Finance Department has asked for this. <br />Mr. Flynn said this was discussed in pretty great detail and can't see any <br />reason to hold it up. <br />Mr. Goley said he did not remember whether the Fire Chief gave any input <br />and felt there.might be feedback received by placing the ordinance on first <br />reading this evening. He has:._no objections to passing it tonight if it is <br />necessary. <br />Mr. Etzler said he thinks this is something the Finance Department has had <br />a problem with since the first of the yeGr. <br />Mayor Carmen suggested that it could be amended if it were passed. He thinks it should go on the ballot, however, he is not <br />in agreement with many of the recommendations thE:y have made.
