122 <br />Mayor Carmen said it is our information that Gates Mills has budgeted the <br />funds to pay for 50% of a squad for this year. Accordingly, he would make <br />any ordinance passed contingent upon their providing 50% of the funding. <br />He talked to Mr. Toth regarding our portibn of the purchase, and was told <br />it would not be a problem to make the purchase this year. Mayor Carmen <br />thinks it is important that we move quickly on this since it is a demo unit <br />at a good price. He said he has received reports from the people who d,rive <br />the Cadillac that they are concerned about the safety of the passengers <br />they are tranporting when riding in the Cadillac. <br />Mr.. Feneli pointed out that the ordinance included the contingency regarding <br />the 50% funding from Gates Mills. • <br />Council authorized Chief Hejcl to call the company to le.t the.m know we.are <br />interested in the demo unit, pending a formal meeting Thursday evening. <br />Thornapple Drive Culvert - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Goley, made a motion <br />to authorize the expenditure of $2,750 for culvert work done on Thornapple <br />Drive. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Signal Warrant Review - SOM/Beta - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Goley, made a <br />motion to authorize the Engineer to do a signal warrant review at the corner <br />of SOM and Beta, to be submitted to the State; in an amount not to exceed $600. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Mr. Goley reminded Council that in previous discussions with Allen Bradley they <br />had indicated they would be willing to contribute toward a signal at that <br />intersection. <br />Mr. Etzler said the first step is to see if a signal is warranted. <br />Resolution No. 86-46, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE PARTICIPATION OF <br />MAYFIELD VII,LAGE, OHIO, IN THE BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION OF THE NORTHEAST <br />ORDINANCE AND THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION."
