10 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />1/22/90 <br />Page 2 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORT <br />Mr. Amendola said that Council had authorized him to obtain bids to haul leaves from the <br />last leaf collection from the service site. He said that only one contractor will come in to <br />haul them out. DeMilta Sand and Gravel Company bid $100/load to take the leaves out. <br />Mr. Amendola said he thinks that is a good figure. He said that was the only bid he was <br />able to obtain; he could not get anyone else to submit a bid. <br />Mr. Ferrante asked how many loads there were. <br />Mr. Amendola said there will be about 201oads. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to approve the expenditure of <br />$100/load to the DeMilta Sand and Gravel Company to remove leaves from the Service <br />site, not to exceed 201oads. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />- NAYS: None <br />ABSTAIN: Mr. Rinker Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Mr. Rinker arrived at 8:08 p.m. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement to meet. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said that Howard Schulz was elected Chairman, <br />Malveene Vargo, Secretary. T'hey are planning a Village Employee's Appreciation Day <br />luncheon on February 14. The Commission on Aging will hold their Anniversary Party on <br />May 15. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening. He was elected Chairman. The <br />Finance Committee recommends passage of the legislation for the general operating levy. <br />He said they discussed Ordinance 89-31 and would like to talk about it in the Executive <br />Session or refer it to Caucus. The Finance Committee discussed the municipal complex. <br />The Village is seeking architectural fums to give it input. We will proceed as soon as we <br />get further information. Mr. Flynn said the compensation of the Finance Director, Law <br />Director, Engineer, Prosecutor, and Mechanic was discussed and will be discussed further <br />in Executive Session. He said the pay ordinances will be finalized, if not at the January <br />meeting, at the February meering. Mr. Flynn said they recommend that Ordinance No. <br />89-8 be tabled until after the Executive Session. <br />Mrs. Mills said that the agenda must be amended to include Ordinance 90-6 regazding the <br />operating levy. <br />?_
