Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole.
Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a morion to adopt Resolution No. 90-21.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Morion Carried
Resolution Adopted
First Reading of Resolurion No. 90-22, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING
NORTH COAST ROOFING COMPANY TO BE TBE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER
FOR TBE ROOFING ON TBE JOHN D. RELIC SERVICE BUILDING,
AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH NORTH COAST ROOFING COMPANY IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED FORTY-THIZEE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS
(43,700.00) REJECTING ALL OTBER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY."
Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole.
CLOSING COMMENTS
Mayor Carmen said he anticipates that Mr. and Mrs. Norris are here this evening because
of a letter he received from the residents about the Village acquiring property for a new
Village Hall. He said we are in the preliminary steps. We have not yet engaged the
services of an architectural fum who will probably make a recommendation as to the
location for the complex. He feels the residents concern is premature at this time.
Mr. Don Norris, S.O.M. Center Road, said there are 3 homes on the site. He has been in
his house for 20 years and it cannot be replaced.
Mayor Cannen said we are a long way from making any decision. The voters will
probably have to make a decision; then there will be the site decision.
Mr. Norris said they should choose a site where they do not have to take homes from home
owners. Those homes are unique. He offered to help officials find a suitable site.
Mayor Cannen said they had talked about the $25,000 donation to the gazebo from some
Aintree North property owners. He said Council had not wanted to accept it immediately,
but he has not heard anything more about it. He suggested they think about it and decide
whether or not they want to accept it so a decision could be made.
Mr. Feneli will be asked to attend the next Council Caucus.
Mr. Patrick expressed thanks to Mayor Carmen, Council, and the Departments for their
assistance in the audit. A successful audit was completed.
Mr. Rinker said the Worton Park Home Owners Associarion collected enough monies to
complete the entire project. They will not need any monies from the Village.
n
?
