63 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCII. <br /> <br />MAYFIELD VII.LAGE <br />APRIL 9,1990 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, Apri19, 1990, in the <br />Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Patsy Mills presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Mills <br />Absent: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Pietrafese, and Mr. Rinker <br /> <br /> <br />Also Present Were: Mr. Amendola, Mr. Ramos, Miss Heath <br />Third Reading of Resolurion No. 90-22. entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING <br />NORTH COAST ROOFING TO BE TBE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR TBE <br />ROOFING ON TBE JOHN D. RELIC SERVICE BUII.DING, AUTHORIZING TBE <br />MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCII. TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH <br />NORTH COAST ROOFING COMPANY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY- <br />THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($43,700.00) REJECTTNG ALL <br />OTBER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Mr. Ramos said that Council received a memo indicating that in his opinion they should <br />accept the bid as is and let the contract continue. He explained how a change order would <br />be done. <br />Mr. Basile asked when the work could begin. <br />The gentleman in the audience from North Coast Roofing said that they are waiting for the <br />contract to be accepted .before they proceed. They would like to commence work as soon <br />as possible--as soon as the contracts aze executed and they obtain the bond. He said that he <br />would be happy to call in an expert in the field to make the deternunarion if the roof should <br />be torn off. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolurion No. 90-22. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Cazried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />ANY OTHER MATTER TO COME BEFORE COUNCII. <br />Mr. Basile asked the status of the Horton vehicle and the O.D.O.T. garage. <br />Mr. Ramos said that pursuant to the instructions of the safety committee, he sent the <br />Horton Company a letter stating that they are in breech of contract. He said that regarding <br />O.D.O.T., Dave Coburn is running tests. T'hey could not tell what it is and are waiting for <br />the results which they will attach to the lawsuit.
