Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 6/18/90) <br />Second Reading of Resolurion No. 90-43 entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING OLD <br />DOMINION BRUSH, TO BE TBE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR TBE PURCHASE OF <br />A TWENTY-FIVE CUBIC YARD HOPPER LEAF COLLECTOR IN CURRENT <br />PRODUCTION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND THREE <br />HUNDRED NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS ($18,395.00), AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR AND <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />EQUIPMENT, REJECTING ALL OTBER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Amendola said that Jim Amendola had suggested testing the machine on a lease basis since the <br />company does not have any equipment in this azea. Cuyahoga Falls will be receiving the <br />equipment in a month or so; Mr. Amendola said if Council wants him to wait, he will. (First Reading 6/27/90) . <br />Mr. Amendola said that they aze still checking to see if they can get what he wants. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Fiftie?s Partv_ - Mayor Carmen said that the 50's Cruise Night will be held August 11 from 7 p.m. - <br />midnight. Yours Truly and Wheezers restaurants will have waitresses serving food to cars, there <br />will be a cruise, and live music. <br />Taffv's Sale Permit - Beta Drive -1Vlayor Carmen said that we have allowed certain Beta Drive <br />businesses to conduct retail sales in the past on a very limited basis to clear their inventory. If <br />Council does not think it will cause any problems, they can pernut the sale. They will ask Taffy's <br />to increase security and possibly to make a donation to the Village. We have never had a problem <br />in the past. <br />Cleveland Indians Behind the Fence Party - T'he "Behind the Fence" party will be held August 15. <br />Donna reminded everyone that we need to send in a deposit; we would appreciate payment for <br />tickets/lunch as soon as possible. <br />Employees' Incentive Program Poll - Mrs. Mills said this will be discussed at Caucus.
