140 <br />Regular Council Meering <br />8/20/90 <br />Page 4 <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All ' <br />NAYS: None Motion Cazried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Mr. Amendola stated that the company he wants to purchase the cupola from is not the lowest <br />bidder, he feels it is the best bid because they will deliver the cupola and be responsible for setting <br />it on and bolting it down. The other company will not do that. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the expenditure of $3,995 for a <br />cupola for the gazebo from Campbellsville Industries. <br />1tOLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Cazried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Wiley Park - Mr. Fixler said that everyone should have received his request for the Village to <br />allocate $5,000 to Recreation for the fields. They are prepared to buy the materials and have them <br />done no later than October. Mr. Fixler said they need to go forward with this quickly. The Board <br />has received several complaints about the condition of the fields and has over 100 signatures from <br />people who aze not pleased with the fields. He said that fees were increased this yeaz and the <br />Board wants to have a first-rate softball program. Mr. Fixler asked that Council approve the <br />expenditure and let the Recreation Boazd oversee the project. <br />Mr. Rinker said that there is $16,000 in the Recreation Board's budget. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said that the Board was trying to save that "nest egg" to illuminate the fields. - - <br />Mayor Carmen said he has contacted Bill Shaylor of Mayfield Schools about using the fields at the <br />Middle School. He feels that he wants to see what our options are before monies are spent on our <br />fields. Mayor Carmen asked Donna to send a copy of his letter to Bill Shaylor to Mark Fixler. <br />Mayor Cannen said that the Recreation Boazd could oversee the project in connection with the <br />dillage; they can take the lead role. He expects to have everything wrapped up by mid-September. <br />l7iscussion was held. <br />Mrs. Mills asked Donna to call a Special Council Meeting for September 10. <br />NIr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a morion to amend the agenda to include Resolution <br />No. 90-53. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 90-53, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE <br />1VIAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCII, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH <br />BURGESS & NIPLE, LIMITED TO CONDUCT A STORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br />UTII.ITY FEASIBII.ITY STUDY, AUTHORIZING TI-E DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO PAY <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FORTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($45,000.00) AND
