<br />MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />February 13, 1989 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, <br />February 13, 1989, at 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Mayfield <br />Village Hall to hear the opinions of residents regarding funds <br />available from the Community Development Block Grant Program. Mrs. <br />Mills, Council President Pro Tem, presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Santoro <br />Absent : Mr. Basile, Mr. Petschauer, Mr. Rinker <br />Also Present Were . Mr. Patrick, Mr. Ramos, Miss Heath, and Mary <br />Davis from the Department of Community Development <br />Ms. Davis explained that 1.8 million dollars of Community Development <br />Block Grant Funds is available to be shared among 41 communities. She <br />mentioned the several components of eligible projects. The maximum <br />amount of assistance we may request per year is $150,000 per project; <br />the minimum is $10,000. This year, requests may be made for $300,000 <br />over a two-year period. Ms. Davis said that communities will receive <br />extra points for attending seminars which will enhance their <br />applications. <br />The Village will be submitting applications for at least two projects: <br />1) snow removal program <br />2) senior citizen bus <br />There were no members of the audience. <br />Mrs. Mills said that if there is no further discussion, we would like <br />to amend the agenda to include an executive session to discuss <br />personnel. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to amend the agenda to <br />include an Executive Session to discuss personnel matters. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />There was no further discussion; the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Council recessed into Executive Session at 8:10 p.m. to discuss <br />personnel matters. <br />Council reconvened at 8:45 p.m.
