<br />MINUTES OF A COUNCIL BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING <br />Mayfield Village <br />June 5, 1989 <br />The Council of Mayfield Villge met in Special Session as a Board of <br />Appeals on Monday, June 5, 1989, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers <br />of Mayfield Village Hall. Council President, Santo Basile presided. <br />Roll Call:_ Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Petschauer (arrived late), Mr. Rinker, and <br />Mr. Santoro <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mr. Amendola, Mayor Carmen, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. <br />Patrick, Mr. Ramos, and Mrs. Martin <br />Roof Tov Satellite Dish Antenna - Progressive Insurance <br />Mr. Basile stated that Progressive Insurance has requested approval for <br />a data communications antenna for the roof of their building at 6300 <br />Wilson Mills Road. They have received approval from the Architectural <br />Review Board with the understanding Council must approve the roof top <br />location. <br />Mr. Ramos stated that Village ordinance requires satellite dish <br />antennas to be placed on the ground with proper screening. According <br />to Mr. Amendola, the location proposed will not be visible from the <br />residents. <br />Mr. Rinker questioned the reason for placing it on the roof. <br />Mr. Dolance explained that it is the best line of sight anywhere on the <br />property. <br />Mr. Flynn questioned the need and if it complies to Village ordinance. <br />Mr. Dolance stated that this will enable them to have contact on a <br />nationwide basis. The information is sent to a satellite in orbit and <br />then transmitted to a base in Florida which transmits the information <br />nationwide. <br />Mr. Amendola stated the ordinance requires satellite dish antennas to <br />be placed on the ground, to his knowledge, there is none on roof tops <br />in the immediate area. <br />Mr. Rinker questioned if the pictures submitted were an accurate <br />position of the antenna. <br />- Mr. Dolance verified that it is and that it is on the south side of the <br />building. He added that once the antenna is in operation the lead time <br />will go from three days to zero. <br />I -/ <br />91-3
