??5 <br />Regular Meeting of Council <br />7/17/89 <br />Page 9 <br />Second Reading of Resolution No. 89-35, entitled; "A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO MAKE PAYMENT TO LOVE INSURANCE <br />AGENCY, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIVE ($3,105) <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM NATIONAL <br />CASUALTY COMPANY FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 1989, TO JUNE 1, 1990, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a <br />Whole. IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-EIGHT <br />DOLLARS 9$5,828) FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE AMBULANCE MALPRACTICE AND <br />FIREFIGHTERS ERRORS AND OMISSIONS LIABILITY INSURANCE FROM <br />AMERICANEMPIRE SURPLUS LINES INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, <br />1989, TO JUNE 1, 1990 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor <br />Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 6/19/89.) <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Overview of Countv Proerams and Policies - Mr. Hovancsek said that a <br />new program will begin in June 1990. They will not do summer or winter <br />maintenance of roads in the County. This includes work such as plowing <br />snow, patching of roads, etc. They will take the funds available to <br />keep bridges in good shape. By State statute the municipality is <br />responsible for the upkeep of its roads. <br />Floodwa_y Boundary Maps - Mr. Hovancsek said that 100-year maps were <br />made for the municipality some time ago and that revisions have been <br />made from time to time. At this time there are no maps available. <br />Mr. Basile asked for a five minute recess. <br />There were no objections. <br />Council took a five minute recess beginning at 8:55 p.m. and reconvened <br />at 9 p.m.
