<br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Ma_yf ield Village, <br />October 2, 1989 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, <br />October 2, 1989, at 9:55 p.m. following the Council Caucus Meeting, in <br />the Council Chambers at the Mayfield Village Hall. Council President <br />Santo Basile presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Rinker, and Mr. Santoro <br />Absent : Mr. Petschauer <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief <br />Mohr, Mr. Patrick, Mr. Ramos, Sgt. Liggett, and <br />Miss Heath. <br />Mr. Pietrafese (in the audience) asked if the bid for the remaining <br />portion of the Aintree North channel could be considered at this <br />, meeting. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that bids were received on Friday and the <br />Engineer had just recommended that the lowest bid be accepted. He <br />said that legislation must be drafted, however, it could be passed in <br />title if Council so desired. <br />All members of Council agreed that it would be best to consider the <br />legislation in title this evening so work could commence as soon as <br />possible while the weather is better. <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 89-68, entitled; "A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING ENZO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER <br />FOR AINTREE NORTH PHASE II DRAINAGE WORK REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." (In title) Introduced by Mayor Carmen and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-68 in title. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />(in title only) <br />Mr. Basile asked if Council wanted to take an official "straw vote" <br />for either layercake or apartment zoning on S.O.M. Center Road.
