MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL Ma_yf ield Village, October 2, 1989 The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, October 2, 1989, at 9:55 p.m. following the Council Caucus Meeting, in the Council Chambers at the Mayfield Village Hall. Council President Santo Basile presided. Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Rinker, and Mr. Santoro Absent : Mr. Petschauer Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief Mohr, Mr. Patrick, Mr. Ramos, Sgt. Liggett, and Miss Heath. Mr. Pietrafese (in the audience) asked if the bid for the remaining portion of the Aintree North channel could be considered at this , meeting. Mayor Carmen explained that bids were received on Friday and the Engineer had just recommended that the lowest bid be accepted. He said that legislation must be drafted, however, it could be passed in title if Council so desired. All members of Council agreed that it would be best to consider the legislation in title this evening so work could commence as soon as possible while the weather is better. First Reading of Resolution No. 89-68, entitled; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING ENZO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR AINTREE NORTH PHASE II DRAINAGE WORK REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." (In title) Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Al1 NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 89-68 in title. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Resolution Adopted (in title only) Mr. Basile asked if Council wanted to take an official "straw vote" for either layercake or apartment zoning on S.O.M. Center Road.
