65 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCII. <br /> <br />Mayfield Village <br />May 4, 1992 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, May 4, 1992, at eight o'clock <br />(8 p.m.) in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Bruce Rinker presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present : Mayor Pietrafese, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Chief Mohr, Mr. Toth, and Miss Heath <br /> <br />Mr. Rinker said this special meeting was called for the purpose of handling bid items for road <br />work. There are three separate bid items. He asked Mr. Hovancsek to comment about them. <br />Mr. Diemert said if it pleases Council there is no problem with doing them by motion. <br />Cracksealing of Certain Streets <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to awazd a contract to Protect-o-Seal, Inc. in <br />the amount of $10,200 for cracksealing of certain streets within Mayfield Village. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said this would involve cracksealing the Aintree North azea with a rubberized <br />material that will seal the joints and prevent salt and moisture from getting in. It is a preventative <br />maintenance measure which he feels is a good idea. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Contract Awarded <br />Asnhalt Resurfacine at Certain Locations <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to award a contract to Osterland Paving <br />Company in the amount of $12,695 for asphalt resurfacing of certain streets within Mayfield <br />Village. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said this is for Robin Circle and a portion at the end of Seneca and Beech Hill. <br />Osterland is an excellent contractor who has done work before in the azea. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if he had any comment about the regular rotarion over the years. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said we have not done asphalt for a couple of years. He and Gus Amendola <br />reviewed all sireets and determined this street needs it the most; he recommends going forward at <br />this point. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Contract Awarderi
