J~~ <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Miss Trask, made a motion to pass Ord. 80-26. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Discussion was held on the two Dodge, 1978, police cars. <br />Mr. Carmen, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to keep one 1978 <br />Dodge as a fourth marked vehicle with approximately $775.00 to be <br />spent to make road ready; the wrecked, 1978 Dodge police car to be <br />sold to the insurance company for approximately $1500.00. <br />There being no objections, the motion passed. <br />GENERAL COMMENTS <br />Mr. Spellman commented on the dogs running loose in the Village. <br />The Finance Committee is working on a flyer to be sent to the resi- <br />dents explaining the % per cent tax increase. <br />Mayor Beebe said a decision should be made re the disposition of <br />the .old village vehicles at the time of a replacement purchase. He <br />would like to know when the old ambulance is going to be sold. Mr. <br />Boger questioned the status of the ambulance; Mr. Flynn stated the <br />matter is still in committee. <br />Mr. Carmen reported a meeting is to be held with the Kenwbod Home- <br />owner Association with re to the burglaries that have been taking <br />place. Chief Stevens will be attending and Council is welcomed to <br />attend. It would be a great opportunity to make contact with the <br />residents on other matters ie; Bike Path/% percent tax etc. The <br />Police are planning to offer to babysit the residents homes in <br />turn for using their homes for a stare ot~t. The meeting will be <br />held on May 8th at the Center School at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mrs. Hanus reminded Council to keep the Community Center in mind. <br />Mr. Flynn commented the monies coming in from tickets are down from <br />around $10,0000 to $4,000. Mr. Bofer commented that it could be be- <br />cause Don Stevens is not on the road anymore. <br />Mr. Bennett thanked Council for not smoking for the benefit of Mr. <br />Flynn. He also announced a Public Hearing is scheduled for 6:00 PM <br />Friday, April 25, 1980 and a Special Meeting of Council at 6:15 P.M <br />following the hearing.
