n ~_ <br />~~ ti <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />September 8, 1980 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on <br />Monday, September 8, 1980 at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. <br />Council President, Alan Bennett presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Busa, Carmen, Flynn, <br />Spellman, and Miss Trask <br />Absent: Mrs. Hanus (Arrived 8:10) <br />Also Present: Mayor Beebe, -Messrs., Beatty, Feneli <br />Mr. Bennett stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider <br />the passage of an Ordinance for street lighting assessment and <br />any other business that may come before Council. <br />Ordinance 80-56, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />THE PAYMENT OF STREET LIGHTING AND THE IMPROVEMENT OR INSTALLATION <br />OF ADDITIONAL LIGHTING BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF ALL PARCELS <br />BENEFITED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Council as <br />a Whole. <br />Mr. Feneli stated this Ordinance, assessing the street lighting <br />within the municipality;.was done following-Resolution. 80-41, <br />passed on July 25, that authorized Steve Hovancsek to get the <br />figures on the cost to each property owner for street lighting <br />for one year. This information was published in the newspapers <br />and no objections were received. _. <br />Mr, Bennett asked if there were.. any questions: <br />Mr. Flynn asked if the assessments are.just for.. one year? <br />Mr. Feneli verified they are for one year. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Spellman, made a motion to pass <br />Ordinance 80-56. <br />
