~~~ <br />Recreation/MARL - Mr. Spellman stated that Mrs. Simek, who had" <br />verbally ~;esigned from the Board, has requested to. be reinstated. <br />Since her term expires in December the Board has granted her <br />request. If anyone wishes to make a different appointment, they <br />should bring it to Council's attention. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Flynn stated that he would like to <br />express a thank you to the Civil Service Commission for the <br />firefighter's test they gave which narrowed the. selection to <br />three for the Mayor's choice. He stated there will be a Safety <br />Service Meeting on November 3 at 7:30 P.M., Ito discuss the <br />working schedule of. the Fire Department. Mr. Bennett stated that <br />as the Law Director suggested the Eligibility List be kept active. <br />Mr. Busa agreed that it should be extended if necessary. <br />Community Building - Mr. Amendola stated Mayor Beebe had already <br />reported about the_Pancake Breakfast. Mayor Beebe commented that <br />several fund-raising pro~~ects are planned, including a fish fry <br />by the Police Department and.a~Poinsetta sale by the Garden Club. <br />He would welcome any other ideas. <br />Cable T.V. - Mr. Carmen said that at last month's meeting it was <br />stated that a Cable T.V. franchise would be awarded at tonight's <br />meeting. However, a franchise will not be able to be granted at <br />tonight's meeting. This is due to the lack of interest from the <br />companies we sent the Ordinance to. Of the five copies of the <br />Ordinance (established. by Council) that.was senttto the various <br />companies, thus far we have received one reply and one company <br />asked for additional time. If we do not receive anymore response <br />we will have tossolicit to other companies. A franchise should <br />be awarded at next month's meeting. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business before Council. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Ordinance 80-61,~entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 1309.061 <br />OF THE CODIFIED'ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Da~;e Feneli explained the changes in the Ordinance which amends <br />Ordinance 79-10. <br />Mr. Amendola agreed to the changes. <br />1 <br />
