17 <br />CLOSING COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR AND OFFICIALS <br />Mr. Carmen questioned if the budget plans for this year include <br />any money for the Bike Path. <br />Mr. Bennett stated that at this time the budget did not allow <br />for any funds to be used towards the Bike Path. <br />Mr. Carmen stated that with the approval of the Council President <br />and Council, that he would like to create a Committee called the <br />"Bike Path Committee" on which he would like to serve. Mr. Carmen <br />also stated that he has received response from people who are <br />willing to donate to the Bike Path, and he thought that perhaps <br />money would be donated by private industry. He has checked with <br />Mr. Avery•as to whether a person c_ould donate towards a specific <br />purpose and was informed that this is possible. Mr. Carmen also <br />. ,. , . <br />expressed his idea of a plaque being made, listing those who <br />donated money towards this project. <br /> Mr. Bennett stated that he could see nothing wrong with Mr. Carmen's <br />. idea of creating a Bike Path. Committee and a committee could be made <br /> up within a few days. <br /> Mr. Spellman stated.his request that a member of the Recreati.on <br /> Board and the Finance C ommittee also be on the "Bike Path Committee" <br /> ? <br /> Mr. Feneli stated that the answer to the CortrigYit'Case is due this <br /> week. <br />Chief Stevens questioned when a Finance Meeting will be held that <br />Department Heads may attend. He stated that the purchase of <br />safety materials is necessary. <br />Chief Hejcl sommented that new doors are needed for the Fire Station. <br />Mr. Flynn to get back to Chief Stevens and Chief Hejcl regarding <br />these matters. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Amendola and Mr. Hovancsek to update their <br />information and figures regarding the Bike Path. He stated that <br />community.involvement may be a good idea to help out. Mr. Busa, seconded by Miss Trask, made a motiorn to adjourn the •- <br />meeting at 8:37 P.M. <br />,.,?,
