?2 MAYOR'S COMMENTS Mayor. Beebe stated that`per conversation with Firefighter Dave Mohr, Chief Hejcl was found collapsed in his car today around 12:00 noon, and had been rushed to'Richmond Road Hospital. He stated that tests had been run and no heart ailment had been found, they attributed the problem to something else. Mayor Beebe stated that he had talked to Chief Hejcl"around 3:00 today and he is confined to a step down unit and taking:I.V, units. He asked Dave Mohr for any further comments. . Dave Mohr reported that as of 6000 P.M._ Chief Hejcl was doing . okay. The Fire Department to'keep the Mayor and-Council posted on his condition. . . . .. Mayor Beebe stated that he had received a letter from a religious group who stated they do not wish to abicle by our solicitation ordinance. He stated.that potential.solicitor,s must.fill out a form, which is-given to the Police Department to be.checked out-,.° and with their approval we issue a solicitatiori permit, asking that the solicitors.do not sAlicit.to homes with a"no soli.citation" sticker in their window.' He'stated tYiat everyone; including those who wish to solicit their religious beliefs, 5hould'follow this procedure. Chief Stevens asked.for the Law.Directbr''s opinion as. to _ th.e enforcement of this ordinance. .. Mr. Feneli stated that he and Mr. Avery are checking into the matter. Mayor Beebe stated that Council and the Department Heads had , held a small party for Alan Bennett on Friday, June 5;.•.1981. He stated that another party is being planned by Mrs. Hanus.
