The Committee also <br />discussed and recommends passage of the ordinances and resolutions appointing various <br />positions while maintaining current compensation until the wage ordinance can be dealt with. <br />Regarding the purchase of a photocopy machine from IKON Office Solutions, the Committee <br />recommends some investigation of a lease agreement be worked on to see if there would be any <br />benefit. The Gommittee recommends' passage of the day camp legislation and invites Council to <br />ask questions from those involved who are here this evening. The Committee recommends <br />approval of a one-year contract for the Human Services Director pending a review of the wage <br />ordinance. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils- Mrs. Cinco said there is a meeting planned for March 15 at <br />Landerhaven. She does not know what the agenda will include. <br />Historical Societv - Dr. Parker reported the Historical House is open on the third Sunday of each <br />month from 1-4 p.m. A small.admission fee is charged. Four new windows are in place on the <br />second floor. There are plans for floor replacement in the quilting area on the second floor. <br />Work is also being done on the school room in the basement. Plans are being made to have a <br />Bridal Exhibit for the month of 7une. The Historical Society requests any bridal mementos that <br />residents may have for the Township to view. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Buckholtz said they met January 9. They are still working on getting Cleveland <br />Indians group tickets and are putting together a trip to Toronoto see a play. The 1997 officers <br />are: Tom Adams, Administrative Representative; Jim Dasher, Alternate Representative; Jan <br />Marquardt, Board Representative and Paul Sabatino as Alternate Board Representa.tive. Mr. <br />Weinberg mentioned they might be looking into a whiffleball program for 5pring, Jim Farmer <br />recommended a pee wee football program for 8-11 year-olds and IVir. Dasher talked about <br />several programs for Spring. Area communities are forming the Mayfield Area Community <br />MAC Baseball Association which will support Mustang level baseball teams. Communities of <br />Highland Heights, Mayfield Heights and Mayfield Village are assisting in maintaining f elds and <br />equipment. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting this month. <br />Planning and Zonin? - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting in December or January. They will <br />meet February 3. There are three items on that agenda: D.O. Summers, temporary office <br />buildings for Stanley Tools and the "vehicles for sale" ordinance. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said they met a week ago Wednesday. The meeting dealt <br />with the new Summer Camp Program-May-Vill Summer Camp. He said 7im IIasher and <br />Ra1ph Vitale are in the audience this evening. Each Council member was given a copy of the <br />tentative outline of the camp which will consist of a sports and drama camp. Note: Discussion <br />was held on this item later during the meeting.
