MINUTES OF TBE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCII, Mayfield Village February 17, 1997 The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, February 17, 1997, at 8:00 pm. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Mark Fixler presided. Roll CalL' PFesent: ,` Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, W. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, and Dr. Parker " Absent: Mr. Buckholtz and Mr. Marquardt Also Present Were: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek (8:20 p.m.), W. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Chief Stevens and Miss Heath. Consideration of Minutes: Regular Meeting of Council- January 27, 1997 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, -made a motion to approve the minutes. Since the minutes must be amended, Mr: Busa withdrew his motion. The minutes will be considered at the next meeting. Comments from Mayor Rinker: Mayor Rinker administered oaths of office to: Vincent Feudo as Prosecutor; Tom Cappello as Assistant Village Engineer and Shirley Flugan as a member of the Activities Committee. Comments from Council President Fixler: Council President Fixler commended Mr. Brett for his hard work in putting information together for the police contract. He said Mr. Brett has done an outstanding job. Council President Fixler said Qrdinance No. 97-09, on tonight's agenda, is the first step toward acquiring the golf course. Mayor Rinker and Council have been working for years on this project. We would like to go through the three-reading process. Council President Fixler commended Mayor Rinker and all his Council colleagues for putting this together. Department Head Reports: Le al: Mr. Diemert said he amended the agreement for the option on the Ohio Celiular Telephone Company and Airtouch Cellular. Legislation is on tonight's agenda for those amendments. Mr. Diemert said the amendment to that lease is merely language change. The money and the terms are the same. The amendment is just to help them with their subleases.
