Regular Council Meeting <br />5-19-97 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />11 <br /> <br />Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 97-22. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 97-23, entitled; "An emergency ordinance pertaining to the <br />wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for the employees of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio for the calendar years 1997 - 1999, repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Ordinance No. 97-23 was given first reading. <br />Resolution No. 97-07, entitled; "A Resolution proclaiming May 25, 1997 as Brian Khoury Day." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 97-07. <br />Mayor Rinker said Josh Wilkenfeld (a MHS student in the audience) is the author of this <br />Resolution. He asked if Josh would like to adr3ress Council. <br />Josh thanked Mayor Rinker and Council for their support. He hopes anyone who can will show <br />up Sunday morning to give their support with their legs and pocketbooks in terms of helping this <br />cause go on. Josh said he thuiks it is a powerful symbol for two reasons: 1) that the city stand <br />behind one of its own wha was ripped away of something maybe we all take for granted and 2) <br />his class has gotten together to make sure his memory survives forever. Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 97-08.
