Regular Council Meeting 5-19-97 Page 7 Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Rules Suspended 11 Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 97-22. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted First Reading of Ordinance No. 97-23, entitled; "An emergency ordinance pertaining to the wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for the employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio for the calendar years 1997 - 1999, repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith. Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Ordinance No. 97-23 was given first reading. Resolution No. 97-07, entitled; "A Resolution proclaiming May 25, 1997 as Brian Khoury Day." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 97-07. Mayor Rinker said Josh Wilkenfeld (a MHS student in the audience) is the author of this Resolution. He asked if Josh would like to adr3ress Council. Josh thanked Mayor Rinker and Council for their support. He hopes anyone who can will show up Sunday morning to give their support with their legs and pocketbooks in terms of helping this cause go on. Josh said he thuiks it is a powerful symbol for two reasons: 1) that the city stand behind one of its own wha was ripped away of something maybe we all take for granted and 2) his class has gotten together to make sure his memory survives forever. He thanked Mayor Rinker and Council for helping establish that and helping them make their goal come. that much closer. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Resolution Adopted Resolution No. 97-08, entitled; "A Resolution proclaiming Tuesday, May 20, as Ozone Action Day." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 97-08.
