MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br />August 11,1997 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />The Council of Mayfield iTillage held a public hearing on Monday, August 11, 1997, at 8:00 <br />p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Fixler <br />presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz W. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. <br />Marquardt, and Dr. Parker <br />Also present: Mayor Rinker, Phil Brett Mr. Hanculak, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. <br />Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac and Miss Heath <br />Council President Fixler called the meeting to order at 8:07 p.m. <br />Mayor Rinker asked Mr. Samac to outline the proposal that will be on the ballot. <br />Mr. Samac said there are 3 parcels of land to the rear of the Highland Road properties <br />that are affected which is the crux of the rezoning request. They are approximately 150 foot <br />wide lots and close to 600 feet in depth. The purpose is that it would be used for parking for <br />properties that would be owned by Progressive. Mr. Samac said he believes everybody received <br />a copy of the map. <br />Mayor Rinker said there are 4 parcels affected. The first one is owned by Euclid <br />Industries; the owners of parcels 2 and 3 are negotiating with Progressive for those parcels and <br />have an option for a contingent contract with Progressive. The 4' parcel has a residential owner <br />who does not want to sell his property but has no objection to the change. <br />Mr. Samac said it would make a straight east-west line. <br />There being no further business, Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr.lVfarquardt, made a motion <br />to adjourn. <br />Roll Call: Ayes: All <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m. <br />DJH/ls
