Reguullllar Coa.utcil Meeting <br />10-20-97 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance to be Reconsidered <br />? <br /> <br />First Reading of Ordinanee No. 97-43, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing the <br />purchase of four sublots in the Midvale Subdivision for an amount not to exceed twenty-one <br />thousand dollars." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Pazker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Buckholtz, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 97-43. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinanee Enacted <br />OPEN PORTION - 3 minute limit imposed by Cfiair. Those who wish to speak must first state their <br />name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaiiung to the items under "Old <br />Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mr. Busa-asked if whoever owns the earth mover at SOM and Hickory Hill could be asked to move <br />it. <br />Mrs. Cinco said Council received the ordinance from Brecksville and asked if Council wishes to do <br />something about it. <br />Mr. Diemert said he lias not heard of anyone [other providers]. approaching us. <br />1Vir. Hovancsek said some communities have passed or will be passing the legislation. He <br />recommends passing it as a safety precaution. <br />It was the consensus of Council to have the Law Director prepare the legislation for the1 ext meeting. <br />Mr. Samac will check with other communities to see what they did.
