Regular Council Meeting <br />11-17-97 <br />Page 2 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Hanculak said the false anest case pending against the Village vvas recently dismissed by the <br />Court of Common Pleas. <br />STANDING COMIVIITTEE REPORTS <br />Ac#ivities Committee - Mrs. Roman said the Appreciation D'umer is scheduled for Saturday, <br />February 14, 1998 (Valentine's Day.) The Committee will be meeting the first week of <br />December to finalize plans for the Appreciation Dinner. Invitations will be sent after the frst of <br />the year. <br />Architectural IZeview Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met October 23. They heazd a sign <br />request fr(ym Progressive Insurance for their Beta Drive Iocation. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said a special Boazd of Appeals meeting was held IeTovember 5. <br />The regular meeting was canceled due to lack of a quorum. Two variances were granted: 1) to <br />George Axchie for a sign on the property at the corner of Beta and V?I'ilsen Mi11s; 2) ta Frogressive <br />to allow their sign to be parallel (as opposed to perpendicular) ta Beta Drive. <br />Cemeterv - Dr. Farker said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mrs. Cinco said the last meeting was just prior to the unveiling of the <br />plans for the northwest quadrant. The coirunittes discussed the concept drawing and went to Bill <br />Marqtiardt's home to pxeview the presentation. The next CAC meeting witl be Navember 24. <br />Commission on Aging - The report is attached as a permanent exhibit to the minutes. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco reported the committee met November 10. Emergency radio <br />console repair was discussed and appraved at the Speeial Council Meeting held later that evening. <br />The Fire Chief is getting back to them on the Fire Prevention Officer. The committee approved <br />the purchase of 7 sets of tumout gear and referred the tower update ta the Law Director. The <br />purchase of one car and the advertisement for one 4x4 vehiele is on tonight's agenda. W. <br />Metzung will look into moving the range hoad frcim the clubhouse at Parkview Golf Cowrse to <br />the conununity room. <br />Finance Comrnittee -1Vdr.lklarquardt said the coxrunittee met this evening and discussed 8 items: <br />1) Final seeding of Worton Park sanitary sewer - Marra Construction -$2,SOU. The <br />comanittee tabled this item in order to Iook into the contractural obligations. <br />2) Projector - The committee recommends looking into bonowing or renting a projeczor <br />The committee recommends approval of the following:
