Special Council Meeting <br />8-22-00 <br />Page 9 <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2000-31. <br />Dr. Parker asked if there were any comments. <br />There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2000-32, "An emergency ordinance submitting a <br />proposal for a Charter amendment to the electors relative to adding the Mayfield <br />Village Fire Department as a recognized bargaining unit to be negotiated with pursuant <br />to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4117, known as the Collective Bargaining Law." <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 8/21 /00.) <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2000-32. <br />Mr. Metzung asked if it removed the requirement for 10 employees. <br />Mrs. Cinco said she thought it was specific to the Fire Department; she has a copy of the <br />ordinance here. As hard as the Wage Committee worked it is unfortunate that the Fire <br />Department felt they had to do this and we hoped to resolve some of these differences <br />in a nicer, more amicable way. Mrs. Cinco said she is not sure that other than voting <br />yes for it which we have to that she totally supports it. <br />Mr. Metzung said it is his understanding that you must re-open negotiations in 2001. <br />
