<br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Tuesday, August 22, 2000, at <br />7:00 p.m. the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Pro <br />Tem Stephan Parker presided. <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />August 22, 2000 <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ilacqua, and <br />Dr. Parker <br />Absent: ~ Council President Marquardt and Mrs. Mills <br />Also Present: Mr. Cappello, Mr. Metzung and Mrs. Roman <br />1 <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Dr. Parker said he has spoken to Law Director Diemert. Ordinance 2000-16 and 2000-18 <br />do not need suspension and only need a 3 out of 5 majority to pass. All the other items <br />will need suspension (5 votes necessary to suspend) and a majority is needed for <br />passage. Mr. Diemert said that regarding the issues submitted by the Charter Review <br />Commission and the Fire Department, we are obligated to vote in favor but can make <br />the record clear if we disagree. <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2000-18, entitled; "An emergency ordinance <br />amending Section 549.08 restricting the use of archery equipment." .Introduced by <br />Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 7/17/00; Second Reading <br />8/21/00.) <br />Mr. Busa seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2000-18. <br />Dr. Parker asked if there were any comments. <br />There were no comments. <br />Roll Call: .AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2000-16, entitled; "An ordinance revising the zone <br />map of Mayfield Village, Ohio so as to amend the use classification of certain Village <br />land to Single-Family Residential (U-1.) Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a <br />Whole. (First Reading 6-12-00; Second Reading ~r19-00; Public Hearing 8-21-00.) <br />
